Focus of Research :
- Taxonomy of fish resources
- Molluscan biology and stock assessment
- Impact of climate change on fish resources
- Eggs and Larval study of fishes
Background :
I completed my BFSc from the College of Fisheries, Panangad, in 2010 and MFSc in Fishery Resource Management from ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai, in 2012. I joined the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in 2014 and have been serving at the Visakhapatnam Regional Centre of ICAR-CMFRI, initially in the Molluscan Fisheries Division, now part of the Shellfish Fisheries Division. My research focuses on the biological analysis, resource assessment and management of molluscan resources of Andhra Pradesh, including bivalves, gastropods and cephalopods, with emphasis on recruitment dynamics, population trends and climate impacts. I am also involved in marine fish taxonomy and biodiversity studies.
