Celebration of World Environment Day 2024 at ICAR-Veraval Regional Station of CMFRI, Veraval, Gujarat

The World Environment Day 2024 was observed with great enthusiasm at the Veraval Regional Station on 5-06-2024.  The celebrations were planned keeping in mind the theme for World Environment Day 2024 namely- “Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience.” The event was organised at the newly acquired office premises at Inaj, Veraval.  Nearly 40 saplings of drought resilient flowering plants of Bougainvillea and Oleander of different colours were planted all along the boundaries of fencing of the plot. Pits were dug and the saplings were planted and watered. All staff members, students, scholars and contract personnel participated in the programme.
