Background :

Dr. Anuja A R is a Scientist in the Fishery Resources Assessment, Economics and Extension Division of ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi (since January 2021). Prior to this, she served as a scientist at the ICAR- Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI), New Delhi, from 2017 to 2021. Dr. Anuja holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, and a B.Sc. in Agriculture from Kerala Agricultural University. She has also been a faculty member at the Post Graduate School, ICAR- IARI, and a trainee at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFRPI), South Asia Office. Currently, Dr. Anuja is actively engaged in research projects focused on understanding the livelihood challenges of marine fishers in India, as well as the socio economic complexities and market dynamics of the Indian marine fishery sector.
